Adrian Bernagozzi

            The hard work and dedication of faculty such as Dr. Adrian Bernagozzi have enabled Central to achieve a reputation for having an outstanding Graphic Arts Technology- Management Program.

            Dr. Bernagozzi is retiring as professor emeritus of applied sciences after 27 years of service. He joined the university’s Department of Graphics in 1974 as an assistant professor and became a full professor in 1990. He was appointed interim department chair in 1999 and served at that post through August 2000.

            Throughout his tenure, Dr. Bernagozzi educated students in the classroom and through activities such as sponsoring and advising the Student Chapter of the Technical Association of the Graphic Arts, 1985-1999, and serving as co-adviser to the Graphic Arts and Commercial Artists Association, 1975-1983.

            His peers recognized his outstanding dedication and service by presenting him the 2000 T.R. Gaines Outstanding Faculty Award.

            Dr. Bernagozzi earned associate, bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the Rochester Institute of Technology in New York, and an education doctorate from Rutgers University, New Brunswick, N.J.

            He and his wife, Karen, have two sons, Jason and Jeremy.
