Student talking about living on campus.

What is your favorite building?
Nickerson, it’s a big community. We have so many different cultures and majors in the building.

Why did you decide to stay on campus?
It was just the easiest thing to do because I didn’t have to worry about an apartment over the summer. I like that I can walk anywhere and can walk to the union and grab food.  It’s easy. I find out about programs and events on campus more easily. There’s also a sense of community.

How has living on campus helped you as a student?
It’s makes things easier. If I need to ask a professor a question, I don’t have to worry about drive to campus, I can just walk over to the building.

Favorite program:
Pie your CA/Hall Council

Favorite part about living on campus:
Getting to know different people. I’ve lived in Nickerson for two years, and I’ve met so many different people of different majors and interests. I love the sense of community.

What buildings have you lived in and why did you choose those buildings?
Nickerson - I loved all of the people.

What is your best memory of living on campus?
My best memory was meeting new friends on move-in day. I love that I can walk down the hall and meet people with open doors. It was a really great experience.

What are some of the benefits of living on campus?
Living on campus is close to things and you don’t have to drive to school every morning and worrying about parking. It’s easy to find out all of the program through the halls or Spotlight. Having everything you need available is great. I also love that my classmates live in the same buildings so we were able to work together on homework. It's also great to hang out in the lobby with other people in the hall.  It’s a great sense of community and friendship.
