Prepare for Your Career
Central Missouri's undergraduate and graduate programs prepare students for careers that require the methods of reasoning, model building procedures, and problem-solving skills that are learned in mathematics, computer science, and actuarial science and statistics classes. The department offers majors in Actuarial Science and Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Mathematics BS/MS and Secondary Mathematics Education, and a Mathematics minor that leads to certification to teach math in grades 5-9. Master of Science degree programs in Computer Science, and Mathematics are also available.
We are proud to be the first and only Missouri public institution outside the University of Missouri to offer an MS in Computer Science degree. The Master program is designed to produce senior computer professionals in the computer industry, and its focus is on the application of technology to solve a variety of practical problems.
The Department sponsors the Missouri Journal of Mathematical Sciences, a professional journal.
