Jo Riggs teaches nursing management, in the undergraduate level and methods of research in the graduate level. Her own clinical experiences include medical intensive care and long-term care administration.
Jo is interested in staff retention in long-term care, geriatric nursing, workplace issues, and nursing education. She holds national board certification in geriatric nursing. Her most recent publications include:

Jo is involved in professional nursing activities through the American Nurses Association, and the Missouri Nurses Association. She is also a member of the local District 10 Nurses’ Association.
Jo has served on various college committees and she has participated in several University sponsored programs. She serves on departmental committees such as the NQIP Committee and the Promotion and Tenure Committee. Jo serves as a mentor for undergraduate and graduate nursing students.
