You can attend any of the listed classes if you have purchased a FIT PASS which are sold at the front circulation desk of the Student Recreation and Wellness Center. Cost for the FIT PASS is $50 for the fall/spring semester.
You may also purchase a 10 Punch Pass for $25, or $3 per class visit.

Student Recreation and Wellness Classes
30 min ABS - Target and challenge the abdominals, back, and hips in this intense and dynamic workout. You will learn how to effectively strengthen the core using proper form and technique! By building core strength, you will be able to improve your posture and ward off low back pain!

Cycle Club - When the beat drops, so does the hammer. Get ready for a fun, energizing and intense cycling experience set to high energy club music to get you ready for the weekend. "Cycle Club" will focus on unannounced, quick change, spinning intensities and styles, and will keep your muscles guessing and leave you begging for mercy. Beginning 9/19, "Cycle Club" will be offered at 3pm every Friday at the Rec Center. Attendance is limited to 20 participants, so please arrive early to secure a spot. As always, we welcome all abilities from "newbies" to seasoned cyclists alike. Spinning is a great opportunity to experience a low impact workout with high results.
Gentle Yoga - This class is designed for those who doubt their ability to "do" yoga because of age, inflexibility, weight or other issues. Our focus is on breathing and proper alignment in the yoga poses. We move slowly and deliberately as we accommodate different skill levels. For those with joint problems/replacements, it is important that you talk with your doctor about limitations and that you honor those limitations
Morning Rush - Start your day off right with an exercise routine that will leave you ready to conquer all of your daily challenges! This class incorporates a variety of exercises to work the entire body, focusing on muscular strength and endurance, core, cardiovascular endurance, agility, and general conditioning. Morning rush is guaranteed to jump start your day into a positive rush!!!
Peak Pedal - Pain is temporary. Spinning is forever. "Peak Pedal" is a high intensity, circuit style spin class will work on speed intervals and attacking on the fly. Get ready for a fun, energizing experience that will truly change the way you view cardiovascular and endurance fitness. Starting next week, this class will be offered every Monday and Wednesday at 5pm. Class size will be limited to 20 participants, so please arrive early. As always, we welcome all abilities, as spinning allows each individual to tailor their own intensity in a low-impact, high-results method.
Spin - A great low-impact workout! Your instructor will guide you over a variety of terrain with several modes of training styles: Strength, Endurance, and Interval training. Every ride is your ride, so you have the ability to adjust your intensity making this class great for beginners AND advanced cyclists alike! Space is limited to the first 20 participants. Or try The Long Ride- Stretch out your time on the road by attending our longer 60-minute ride.
Sunrise Spin - Looking for a low impact, high calorie burning workout to start your day? Sunrise Spin is a new spinning class offered at 6am Monday/Wednesday/Friday at the Rec Center. Spinning is a great way to get in shape whether you are just starting out or are a seasoned cyclist looking for a structured workout. You control the intensity, your instructor will guide you through a challenging slow burn that will leave you energized for the rest of the day.
Tabata - high intensity interval training. Simple workouts that keep your heart rate up for 20 second intervals, and 10 second breaks in between. Hour long class. Bring water for breaks, there will be lots of sweating.
TRX - TRX stands for “Total-Body Resistance Exercise.” This class will introduce you to the TRX Suspension Trainer. The TRX is a safe and effective training tool for people of all fitness levels! TRX is a revolutionary method of Suspension Training that uses your body weight for exercise and will help you achieve any fitness or performance goal!
Weight Training for Women (WWT) - This class is for women who would like to learn new routines of strength training and to gain confidence in the weight room. Learn how to work each muscle group using our machines and free weights, while toning and strengthening your entire body. Both women who are accustomed to working hard and women who do not have experience in resistance training would love this class- all will experience results that you can see and feel!!!
Yoga - A Hindu spiritual and ascetic discipline, a part of which, includes breath control, simple meditation, and the adoption of specific bodily postures. It's widely practiced for health and relaxation.
Yoga Flow - Hatha classes place emphasis on physical alignment, understanding of correct anatomical movement, and various deep relaxation techniques. It increases strength, flexibility, and awareness of the body, developing more healthful movement; relaxations techniques help with stress more effectively. Classes are open to student questions or requests, and vary from week to week.
Zumba - Check out the dance craze that is sweeping the nation! Inspired by Latin dance and music, Zumba uses a variety of styles in its routines, including cumbia, merengue, salsa, reggaeton, hip-hop, pop, mambo, rumba, flamenco, and calypso. Music selections include both fast and slow rhythms to help tone and sculpt the body with easy to follow dance moves! No dance experience required.
Zumba Gold - Zumba Gold targets the largest growing segment of the population: baby boomers. It takes the Zumba formula and modifies the moves and pacing to suit the needs of the active older participant, as well as those just starting their journey to a fit and healthy lifestyle. What stays the same are all the elements the Zumba Fitness-Party is known for: the zesty Latin music, like salsa, merengue, cumbia and reggaeton; the exhilarating, easy-to-follow moves; and the invigorating, party-like atmosphere. Active older adults want camaraderie, excitement and fitness as a regular part of their weekly schedule. Zumba Gold is the perfect fit. It’s a dance-fitness class that feels friendly, and most of all, fun.
