Welcome to the University of Central Missouri

As a UCM student, you will have three sets of ID/passwords to remember: MyCentral, Network/Blackboard, and Google Apps (your e-mail program).

Two things to always remember on the UCM campus: Your 700#, also known as your Student ID, and your Network ID. Your Network ID is a combination of the initials for your first, middle and last names, and the last 4 digits of your 700# followed by a zero (ex: abc12340). One thing to note: if you did not have a middle name on file with the Registrar's office at the time of your admission, your middle initial will be an x.

MyCentral - http://mycentral.ucmo.edu

To log in to MyCentral, you will use your student ID, also referred to as your 700#. You also should have received a temporary password in an e-mail from the university. If you did not, or you no longer have it, contact the Technology Support Center at 660-543-4357. We will reset this password for you at any time if you are unable to log in.

Network/Blackboard - https://courses.ucmo.edu

You control your Network/Blackboard password. You will NOT BE ABLE TO LOG IN to any networked PCs/Macs on campus, the UCM Secured WiFi or Blackboard until you have completed the Network Password Change step in MyCentral.

In MyCentral click on the tab labeled "Network Password Change" and follow the directions in box number 2. Your network ID is listed in BOLD. Your password MUST CONTAIN THE FOLLOWING: an uppercase letter, a lowercase letter, a number between 0 and 9, and a special character. The special characters allowed are only: ~ ! ^ . * _ - [{ ]} Your password MUST BE BETWEEN 9 AND 14 CHARACTERS IN LENGTH. Once you click submit, you will receive a message that your change has been submitted and to please allow approximately 15 minutes.

Google Apps at UCM(Gmail) - http://mail.ucmo.edu

At this point you will create your permanent password for Google Apps at UCM. Your e-mail address will be your network id followed by @ucmo.edu (abc12340@ucmo.edu). To log in to your account for the first time, you will use your network id in the Username field (do not use @ucmo.edu). Your password will be a default password of the last six digits of your Social Security Number followed by the first five letters of your last name in lower case. If your last name is fewer than five letters, use your entire last name.

If at any time you have trouble logging in to any of your University accounts, please feel free to contact the Technology Support Center at 660-543-4357.
