Annual Banquet

Each spring the Department of Psychological Science holds its annual banquet, co-sponsored by Psi Chi and the Psychology Club.  The banquet includes a State of the Department Address by the department chair and recognition of an outstanding undergraduate and an outstanding graduate student. Scholarship recipients are also recognized.

The Spring, 2014 banquet is scheduled for Wednesday, April 9 at the Elk's Lodge in Warrensburg. Tickets will be available for sale in Lovinger 1111.

The Spring 2013 banquet was held at the White Rose Pavilion on April 18, 2013. Approximately 75 students, faculty, emerti faculty, and alumni attended.

Dr. Tori Culbertson received the Department's Outstanding Alumni Award.

The following students received $1,000 Tuition Awards:

The recipient of the Arthur J. TerKeurst Scholarship was Rebecca Ruggles.
The recipient of the Robert N. Higgins Award was Elizabeth Bucy.
The recipient of the Joseph J. Ryan Graduate Scholarship was Angel Munoz.

The Jeff Brown Leadership Awards were presented to Rebecca Conrad-Brown and Hailie Leahy.

Jerome M. Sattler Student Research Awards

  • Outstanding Master's Thesis: Jennifer Seeley

The Outstanding Undergraduate Student was Rebecca Conrad-Brown.

The Outstanding Graduate Student was Isaac Flint.

Jennifer Seeley was also recognized as the College of Health, Science, and Technology Outstanding Graduate Student and the winner of the University of Central Missouri Graduate Student Research Award.

Dr. Alice Greife, Dean of the College of Health, Science, and Technology, presented Tina Walker with the 2013 CHST Excellence in Performance Staff Award.

The Outstanding Undergraduate Professor was Dr. Steve Schuetz.
The Outstanding Graduate Professor was Dr. David Kreiner.

Professor Appreciation Awards were presented to each faculty member. Emeriti faculty were also recognized.
