Eligibility

The Citation Awards Exhibition is open to any UCM art major or minor, currently enrolled in an art class.


Entry

Two entries allowed for art majors and one entry allowed for art minors. All Media is accepted. To enter submit the completed form below by March 14, 2014. Each entry that is dropped off between March 10 and March 14 between the hours of 8 am to 5 pm MUST have identification labels attached. (Located on the Gallery of Art & Design bulletin board in the Art Center) Those without tags will not be exhibited.

Drop-off and Pickup Procedures

Accepted work must be properly submitted to be exhibited.
1. Two-dimensional entries must be ready to hang. Works on paper must be suitably matted and/or framed. Paintings should be painted on the edges or framed. Wet paintings will not be accepted. The gallery will not provide wire for hanging artwork. For digital entries, work must be submitted on disk by Friday, March 14. 3-D work must be exhibition ready.
2. Deliver the artwork to the Gallery Friday, March 10 through March 14, 8 am - 5 pm. Entries will not be accepted at any other time. You may have someone else deliver your artwork.
3. Do not submit work without identification. Please include your name and the title of the piece on the back so that the gallery can create a label for you.
4. Entries must be picked up on Friday, April 4, between 1 pm - 5 pm. Unclaimed entries will not be saved.


Awards

All awards will be determined by the Department of Art & Design Scholarship Committee and an independent juror based on the quality of work exhibited. The Awards ceremony and opening reception will be held on Thursday, March 27, from 3:30 to 5 pm. Award winners need not be present but are encouraged to attend.
