Late Night Alcohol-Free Events
The Office of Violence and Substance Abuse Prevention supports initiatives to provide entertainment options to students during times when high risk drinking often occurs. Funding support is available for programs or events that take place Thursday, Friday or Saturday nights between the hours of 10 p.m. and 2 a.m. Additionally, funding may be available for events on other days and times, provided that these events are designed to provide a healthier alternative to a high risk drinking event. Examples could include a Super Bowl or St. Patrick's Day party.
Certain guidelines for events that qualify for funding do apply.
Funding support for Late Night Events is provided through a grant from the Missouri Partners in Prevention. Funding is limited and is renewed annually, therefore organizations are encouraged to apply for funding early in the academic year.
You must submit a form to qualify for funding.
