Born and raised in Warrensburg, Mrs. Lesi Smart earned her BSE in grades 1-8 and her MSE in Guidance Counseling for grades K-8 from UCM. She earned her MSE in Elementary Administration from William Woods University while working as an Elementary Classroom Teacher and then a School Counselor. She has served as both an Elementary School Principal and a Middle School Assistant Principal. She chose to come back to UCM to share her knowledge and experience with tomorrow’s teachers while continuing her passion: teaching. Primarily, She teaches Classroom Management in Senior Block and is a practicum and student teaching supervisor. Along with being involved with tractor and truck pulling, she serves as a volunteer on the Johnson County Fair Committee and currently serves as the president of the Crest Ridge Education Foundation.
