Notice of Reaccreditation Site Visit: by the Council on Academic Accreditation for the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association

Please be advised the ASHA site visit for our reaccreditation will be held in February 2014. If you are a client of our center, a supervisor of our students off-site, or a graduate student in the Communication Disorders program, we invite you to attend the appropriate meeting as an opportunity to comment on our Program in Communication Disorders and share your thoughts with the site visitors.

Consumers: Monday February 17, 2014 from 4:30-5:30pm in our classroom Martin 117

Graduate Students: Tuesday February 18, 2014 from 10:30-11:15am in our classroom Martin 117

Welcome to Communication Disorders.  We are a dynamic and diverse unit that offers degrees at the undergraduate and graduate levels.

Our Mission:

Communication Disorders is a comprehensive accredited program committed to excellence in the academic, technological and clinical education of professional speech-language pathologists who serve the communication and swallowing needs of a multicultural society. Evidenced-based teaching and supervised clinical experiences, utilizing advanced technology in the diagnosis and treatment of speech, language, voice, swallowing, and hearing disorders, foster excellence in the professional preparation of future speech-language pathologists.
