Internships and Employment
At UCM, your education will extend beyond the classroom to include hands-on, real-world experiences. As a public relations major, you will be required to complete an external internship. Before beginning the internship, you must complete the forms in the Public Relations Internship Application packet.
If you need help finding an internship, our PR faculty can help you navigate the process. Past internships held by UCM PR majors are listed on a white board in the PR Suite in Martin 132. Additionally, internship opportunities are often posted on the UCM PRSSA Facebook page. Another social media site that is very helpful is LinkedIn. The #PRIntern and #EntryPR group on LinkedIn offers internship opportunities daily.
