Music Scholarship Application Process
NEW and TRANSFER STUDENTS
Freshman and Transfer Students must audition for
admission to the
Department of Music.
Every student who auditions is automatically considered for:
- Music Scholarships
- Foundation Scholarships
- Service Awards
The
Application and Audition
Scheduling process begins on the following
page: Music Department Admissions/Auditions
RETURNING STUDENTS
Every student who received a Music and/or Foundation Scholarship as a
freshman/transfer student, must re-apply for those awards annually.
Students complete just one
application. The new, single application form is slightly longer, and
is required for all students, regardless of area (keyboard, strings, voice, or
woodwinds/brass/percussion). The additional data collected is used to
determine each student's eligibility for as many of the following awards as
possible:
- Music Scholarships
- Foundation Scholarships*
- Service Awards
*Some Foundation Scholarships require documentation of financial need. These
awards are indicated on the Returning Student Application form (pdf version), with links
to the specific scholarships. Only complete this section of the
application form if you feel you meet the requirements for one or more of
these scholarships.
The on-line application form must be completed and submitted by
February 1:
If you missed the deadline, please see your
applied teacher and explain your situation.
