Lifelong Learning at the University of Central Missouri, in conjunction with the UCM International Center, is offering a unique learning experience. Sunday afternoon, March 10, from 1:30 to 3:00, community members are invited to have conversations with international students from various countries. The event will be held in Room A of the Community Center in Warrensburg.
The program will begin with a brief welcome and explanation of how the conversations will proceed. Two international students from each country will be seated at each eight-person table. The students will answer questions about their home countries, their customs, their education, and whatever may be of interest to community members. Every fifteen minutes, students will rotate to the next table on their right, giving community members the opportunity of interacting with students from four different cultures. The program will close with an introduction of all international students who participated in the program. This program is open to people of all ages.
Lifelong Learning's goal is to provide community programs for continued learning, and in particular, learning opportunities that are not usually available within the community. For further information about the origin, and about past, present and future programs, please visit our website.
