Office of the Provost

The Academic Affairs Office, led by Provost Phil Bridgmon, provides academic programs and services to students and facilitates the academic and professional life of the faculty. At Central Missouri, we are committed to promoting student learning in an atmosphere of open discourse and inquiry. We encourage our faculty and students to engage in active learning that is complemented by scholarship.

The provost is the chief academic officer of the University. The provost is responsible for administering the academic programs of the University, as well as many academic support services. Reporting to the provost is the academic dean of each college:  College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences, the Harmon College of Business and Professional Studies, the College of Education, and the College of Health, Science and Technology. Also reporting to the provost are the University vice provosts for Online and Learning Engagement, Academic Programs and Services, and Enrollment Management, and the University librarian of the James C. Kirkpatrick Library and Library Services. For information about academic schools, please visit the Academic Schools webpage.
