The Office of the Registrar & Student Records is where you will find information about academic standing, transcripts, graduation, and more!

The links on the left offer for more information about the Office of the Registrar and Student Records’ services, academic policies and procedures, dates and deadlines, and much more. They also provide fast access to transcript and graduation/commencement information. 

What Does the Registrar’s Office Do?

  • The processing of out-going, official UCM transcripts
  • Graduation application processing
  • Production of the Undergraduate and Graduate catalogs and the undergraduate academic Four Year Guides
  • Verification of student enrollment status and degree completion
  • Maintenance of the course schedule, the degree audit system (DegreeWorks), and the student information system (Banner/Ellucian)
  • Grade collection and disbursement
  • Transfer course articulation and transfer guides
  • Preserving the integrity and privacy of student academic records by abiding by the provisions of the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).

 

Mission Statement

The Office of the Registrar and Student Records, also known as the Registrar’s Office, supports the University of Central Missouri’s mission to “transform students into lifelong learners, dedicated to service, with the knowledge, skills and confidence to succeed and lead in the region, state, nation and world.”

The mission of the Registrar’s Office is to support the academic goals of the university and promote student success by providing timely, accurate, quality services to students, faculty, staff, alumni, parents, and other university constituents.

In order to fulfill this mission, the Office of the Registrar & Student Records:

  • Provides secure and confidential maintenance of student academic records in perpetuity.
  • Complies with the mandates of the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).
  • Interprets, implements, ensures compliance, and communicates changes regarding academic policies and procedures.
  • Assesses student progression toward timely completion of educational goals.
  • Supports a positive work environment based on integrity, service, and inclusion.

The Office of the Registrar and Student Records supports and abides by the UCM Ethics Policy and Nondiscrimination/Equal Opportunity Statement as set forth by the Board of Governors. 

We also adhere to the best practices and ethical standards adopted by the American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (AACRAO) and to the Professional Standards for Higher Education as outlined by the Council for the Advancement of Standards in Higher Education (CAS)
