UCM is Dedicated to Your Safety

Preventing Assault

UCM is serious about preventing assault, rape and sexual assault and harassment. Freshmen are required to take an online sexual violence program that addresses such issues. UCM also teaches self-defense tactics and techniques through the Rape Aggression Defense (RAD) System course.  Learn more.

SAFE Team

Each night the Student Assistant Foot patrol and Escort (SAFE) Team patrols the UCM campus on foot to help deter crime. Members of the SAFE team are part-time, uniformed, student employees. You can request a SAFE Team escort on campus by calling (660) 543-4123.

The SAFE Team is available from 7 p.m. to 2:30 a.m., seven days a week, when UCM is in session during the regular academic year. Extended hours are available on weekends.  Learn more.
