Dalima Kapten (she/her) is a second-generation Kenyan-American pursuing a Master of Arts in Music Technology at the University of Central Missouri. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Architectural Studies, Theater Minor, and a specialization in Architectural Acoustics from the University of Kansas.
As a theater performer and artist, Dalima is deeply moved by a passion for storytelling and worked at Music Theater Heritage as the Manager of Artistic Operations. Additionally, she presented her self-published chapbook “Native Anomaly” for Columbia University’s HOME: Symposium.
She is excited to be appointed as the new UCM Theatre & Dance Graduate Assistant and is ready to jump into being a part of facilitating and furthering artistic understanding in a collaborative and creative environment.
