Jenise Cook is a Movement Artist, Intimacy Director, Director, and Actor from Detroit, MI. She holds both a BA in Interdisciplinary Studies and a BFA in Acting from Michigan State University and a Master of Fine Arts in Acting and Directing from the Conservatory at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. Jenise is a collaborative artist and advocate aiming to create consent-forward work environments and productions, for all involved in the theatre making process. Her continual goal is to uplift the artist AND the artistic work without endangering the people involved. She strives to create accessible theatre for all communities.

Jenise has spent time acting, directing, choreographing movement, and directing intimacy in Georgia (Aurora Theatre, Synchronicity Theatre, Georgia Gwinnett College), South Carolina (Glow Lyric Theatre), and Missouri (Unicorn Theatre, Coterie Theatre, University of Missouri - KC, University of Kansas, Fishtank Theatre). Jenise was also a puppeteer on the UK children’s series Moon and Me (produced by Andrew Davenport).
