A Nebraska native, conductor and teacher Adam Zrust maintains an active schedule of concerts, lectures, and guest appearances in festivals and workshops throughout the United States and abroad. He is a member of the American Choral Directors Association, Missouri Music Educators Association, and the National Association for Music Education. At UCM, Dr. Zrust conducts Collegiate Choir and Concert Choir (the university’s premier touring ensemble) and teaches graduate and undergraduate courses in music education. Dr. Zrust also serves the Missouri Choral Directors Association as Youth and Student Activities Repertoire and Resource Chair.

Dr. Zrust holds a Ph.D. in Choral Conducting and Music Education from Florida State University, an M.M.E. from Florida State University, and a B.A. in Music Education and B.S. in Music Business from the University of Nebraska–Kearney. His research interests include rehearsal efficiency, conducting pedagogy, and concert programming.
