Jennifer (she/her) is excited to be working at her Alma Mater as a part of the Division of Theatre and Dance as an Assistant Professor of Theater in the area of costume design. She is the current BFA Design/ Technology Program Coordinator for the department. Along with teaching, she is also responsible for running the theater department’s costume shop, overseeing 5 student workers while designing shows each semester.
In 2016 she completed her MFA in Costume Design from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas with a special interest in Shakespeare Studies. After she graduated Jennifer spent her summer at the Utah Shakespeare Festival in Cedar City Utah working in the hair and makeup department. There she learned how to ventilate and make wigs while also maintaining wigs and facial hair for the 2016 season. From 2017 - 2019 she worked at the Arts Center of Coastal Carolina where she designed 4 musicals and 1 straight play each season, while also running the theater’s costume shop.
Costume Design credits include Merry Wives of Windsor, Hairspray, ICONIC, Spotlight (University of Central Missouri); Legally Blonde, Amadeus, Blithe Spirit, Newsies, The Color Purple, American in Paris, Evita, and Saturday Night Fever (Arts Center of Coastal Carolina); Much Ado About Nothing, As You Like It, To Kill a Mockingbird, Venus in Fur, Eurydice, and Brighton Beach Memoirs (Nevada Conservatory Theatre); Tuesdays with Morrie (Black Hills Playhouse).
Hair/Wig Artisan credits include Dial M for Murder, Sister Act, Mamma Mia, Leading Ladies, and White Christmas (Arts Center of Coastal Carolina); Mary Poppins, Much Ado About Nothing, and The Three Musketeers (Utah Shakespeare Festival).
