Rae Clements

Originally from Southern California, Rae has been with UCM since 2001 in various capacities. From 2014 to 2020 she was the Office Professional for the Department of Career and Technology Education, which became the Department of Middle, Secondary, and Adult Education in July 2018, and became the School of Professional Education and Leadership in July 2019. She was promoted to her current role as Administrative Assistant to the Dean of the College of Education in June 2020. In addition to her position, she has served as the advisor for Prism, UCM's LGBTQ+ student organization, since August 2017. She worked on F/A-18 Hornets in the US Navy before coming to UCM as a student. She earned her BSE in Elementary Education in 2009, MS in Educational Technology in 2011, and EdS in Career and Technical Education with an emphasis in College Student Personnel Administration in 2019, all from UCM. She also holds graduate certificates in Academic Advising and in Diversity Issues in Higher Education. Other positions she has had include UCM Public Safety police dispatcher, Educational Technology Specialist for Pearson Higher Education, Youth Specialist with the Missouri Division of Youth Services, adjunct instructor in Educational Technology at UCM, and substitute teacher in the Warrensburg R-VI School District. Her research interests include gender inclusivity in higher education and military/veteran student programs. In her spare time, Rae writes novels, plays video games, and spends time with family.
