The computer, Internet and networks have become an everyday aspect of all of our lives. We interact with and carry out daily routines for work, entertainment, and life in general by utilizing computers, networks, the Internet, and various forms of electronic devices. The Information Technology program at the University of Central Missouri prepares you to develop, configure, maintain, and install networks and network-related hardware, secure data and systems, oversee computer and network architectures, cloud computing, web development, hardware, software and more.
The BSIT program is designed for recent community college graduates and working professionals who seek to upgrade their technical knowledge. It also prepares students for advanced study in graduate school.
The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics predicts job openings in information technology to grow much faster than most occupations, projected to grow 12 percent by 2028, much faster than the average for all other careers. As IT solutions continue to expand in nearly every business sector, the opportunities awaiting information technology graduates are nearly limitless.
We have highly qualified and dedicated faculty members who have extensive experiences in research and/or industry.
