Freshman

The IMPACT Freshmen Leadership Retreat is a three day retreat for first year incoming students. Student involvement in college is a prime indicator of success while on
campus and into one’s career. Leadership is developed in many ways, including membership and holding positions in organizations, volunteerism and formal leadership programs. Impact is attempting to combine all of these aspects into one central focus.

The retreat provides students with an opportunity to meet nearly 200 other incoming students, 32 upper class students, faculty and staff. During the retreat students will participate in team building activities, information sessions, special presentations, ice breakers, flour war and become acclimated to UCM. We hope you will join us!

Benefits of Attending

You will meet students that are like you, interested in becoming a leader or building on leadership skills attained in high school. In addition, you will meet current students who have become leaders in many different ways. They will be available to answer questions and to get to know you. Also, there will be current faculty and staff members there to offer you any support necessary and to get to know you.
