The Office of Undergraduate Research invites abstract submissions for this year’s Scholars Symposium and Creative Achievement Day. The symposium is the university’s premiere event dedicated to showcasing achievements in undergraduate research and creative projects. The format of this year’s event will be 10-minute oral presentations organized by theme and competition-level. Sessions are moderated by faculty subject matter experts. Student organizations, special topic courses, and other groups are encouraged to organize panels.
The most innovative student abstract from Social and Behavioral Sciences, Arts and Humanities, and Science and Technology will be selected for participation in the Provost's Panel. Selection to the Provost's Panel, represents the highest honor available to participants of the symposium. Other highly rigorous abstracts will be chosen for competition panels. Prizes will be given to the Provost Panel recipients, the top competition presentations in each category, and honorable mention awards for those in non-competition panels. The full program from last year’s event, with abstracts from previous provost panelists, can be found here.
Please note IRB/IACUC protocol number or a Determination of Research letter from the Office of Sponsored Programs and Research Integrity indicating their project does not require review.
The deadline for abstract submissions is Friday, February 12th by 5pm.
