Central Jackson County Fire Protection District (CJCFPD)

Upon a student's successful completion of the CJCFPD Paramedic training to include the National Certification and Missouri Lisensure, UCM will provide 15 undergraduate hours of credit towards the completion of a Bachelor's degree in Crisis and Disaster Management or the School of Natural Sciences will provide hours of credit toward the completion of a Bachelor's degree in Biology.

 Thanks to a partnership with the University of Central Missouri, EdAssist employees are eligible for discounted tuition, including both undergraduate and graduate degree programs as well as certificate programs. Kenya Partnership

The University of Central Missouri is partnering with the Government of Makueni County-Kenya, a member of the South Eastern Kenya Economic Bloc (SEKEB), and Global Classroom Exchange (GCE) to enhance international workforce development and education opportunities.

The unique collaboration includes UCM, the government of Makueni County-Kenya, the Economic Bloc and Global Classroom Exchange. The partnership officially launched at a Jan. 8, 2021, virtual signing ceremony of a memorandum of understanding. MOU signers included the governor of Makueni County, Hon. Professor Kivutha Kibwana; Dr. Phil Bridgmon, UCM provost and vice president for Academic Affairs; Dr. Laurel Hogue, vice provost for UCM Extended Studies; and John Musau, founder and CEO of Global Classroom Exchange.

Lee's Summit Medical Center / HCA Health Midwest

Thanks to a partnership with the University of Central Missouri, Lee’s Summit Medical Center / HCA Health Midwest staff members are eligible for discounted tuition, including both undergraduate and graduate degree programs as well as certificate programs. Missouri Department of Corrections

 Thanks to a partnership with the University of Central Missouri, Missouri DOC employees can complete the education needed to excel in the workforce. DOC employees are eligible for discounted tuition, including both undergraduate and graduate degree programs as well as certificate programs. Featured Degree Programs

During a recent survey of Department of Corrections employees, the top degree choice was criminal justice with nearly 37 percent selecting this option. Other preferred degrees included psychology at 15 percent and business/finance at almost 12 percent. The majority of respondents also preferred an online program.

  • Criminal Justice and Criminology - UCM Criminal Justice and Criminology degrees are 100-percent online and include Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees with our programs consistently ranked among the nation’s best. 
  • Psychology - UCM undergraduate programs include a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology. Our graduate programs are Master of Science degree in Psychology as well as Master of Science in Psychology Behavior Analysis and Therapy. 
  • Business - Our comprehensive School of Business Administration includes both undergraduate and graduate degrees in areas such as finance, management, marketing, computer information systems, accountancy and risk management.

  • Crisis and Disaster Management Certificate - This nationally recognized program includes four certificates -- Business Continuity, Emergency Management, Emergency Services Management and Environmental Hazards. These certificates will help you make a difference in the world by building your knowledge base, developing skills and providing opportunities for you to practice what you’ve learned through community service.
  • SPHR (Senior Professional In Human Resources) - This course prepares experienced human resources professionals for the SPHR industry-recognized exam.

Missouri National Guard

The University of Central Missouri’s partnership with the Missouri National Guard is proactively creating an easier path to higher education for men and women serving their country in the Guard. Through this collaboration, UCM is accelerating degree paths for Guard students while also reducing tuition and fees not covered by the state’s tuition assistance program or federal G.I. Bill. UCM respects the experiences and skills Guard men and women bring to the classroom and are proud to be a part of this mission-critical partnership.
