UCM offering free courses open to any interested individual
Check out our virtual open house events to learn how you can launch a new career

FREE COURSES: The University of Central Missouri is here for you during this challenging time of worldwide pandemic. We are offering several free online courses in creativity and innovation. Enroll today and learn new skills, advance your career or gain expertise to use at your business, on the job and/or in your day-to-day life. Courses are listed below. 

OPEN HOUSE EVENTS: We also invite you to check out our Professional Training and Education Open House events, now held virtually, to learn how you can get the training you need to launch a new career. Open houses are held from 5 to 6 p.m. on the last Tuesday of each month and are free to all adult learners.




Three free online creativity and innovation courses offered

 Through our partnership with MindEdge, a national company specializing in higher education and professional development, we are offering three free online courses focusing on creativity and innovation. Courses are open enrollment and designed so that you can work on your own schedule Enroll soon to take advantage of this free offer. Courses are: 

Creativity in Teams and Organizations (online), five contact hours
Introduction to Critical Thinking (online), seven contact hours
Personal Creativity (online), three contact hours.

Adult learners completing all three courses have the opportunity to enroll in a fourth course -- Innovation in Teams and Organizations, available for $79. After completing all four courses, students earn the recognized Certificate in Creativity and Innovation, offered through UCM and MindEdge. 


Professional Training and Education Open House geared for adults seeking training for a new career

Would you like to begin a new career in a high-demand field? UCM's monthly Professional Training and Education Open House is designed to help adult learners find the workforce training  that fits their goals. The free virtual events are held from 5 to 6 p.m. the last Tuesday of each month. They include information about job training for high-demand careers as well as financial assistance opportunities.
