Student Network Password Change Required

To increase network security, UCM is taking steps to require student network passwords to conform to existing guidelines for secure-format passwords, which are already in place for faculty and staff at UCM.  Student network usernames and passwords are used to login to campus computers, Blackboard, and student email. 

CURRENT UCM STUDENTS:

Please change your password at your earliest convenience by logging on to MyCentral and clicking on the tab labeled “Password Change”.  This site contains instructions for changing your network password to a secure format (between 9 and 14 characters containing uppercase letters, lowercase letters, numbers, and at least one special character.)  Please remember to allow one hour for the password change to take effect. 

The deadline is approaching for your network password change.  On the evening of February 15, 2010 (if you have not changed your network password since January 11, 2010) Information Services will block your access to campus network resources, Blackboard, and student email for security reasons until your password is reset.
