From the Classroom to the Locker Room

A Discussion of LGBTQ Issues

With Michael Sam poised to be the first professional football player to be openly gay in the NFL, and at the same time, legislation being brought forward in several states, which would allow owners to refuse service to members of the LGBTQ community, inclusion is an important issue nationwide and on our campus. The panel's goal is to broaden students' perspectives on these issues through various lenses, including the media, sports and sport management, civil rights and social justice.
