Tickets Now Available for Theatre Production of "Beyond Therapy"

The box office is open for the upcoming production of "Beyond Therapy" by the UCM Department of Theatre. Christopher Durang's delightful comedy will be presented at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 11-15 and 18-20, with a 2 p.m. matinee Sunday, Nov. 16. in UCM's Black Box Theatre in Nickerson Hall in celebration of the 20th anniversary of UCM's theatre-in-the-round.

Beyond Therapy

Guest Director Sidonie Garrett

Guest director is Sidonie Garrett, producing artistic director of the Heart of America Shakespeare Festival in Kansas City, MO. Cast members are Brett Alexander as Bruce, Rebecca Casselman as Prudence, Brian Sauer as Stuart, Megan McLain as Charlotte, Peter Macy as Bob and Aaron Markarian as Andrew.

The Comedy of Relationships

The farcical comedy examines the hilarious exploits of Bruce and Prudence, who meet after placing personal ads at the advice of their therapists. Their dinner meeting is only the beginning of a series of chaotic events orchestrated by the therapists, who clearly are more troubled that their patients.

Tickets are available to season ticket holders beginning Nov. 3 and the general public Nov. 5. The box office in Wood 128 is open 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., or by calling 660-543-8811. Admission is $12 for the general public, $10 for UCM faculty, staff and senior citizens, and $7 for students. The production is recommended for mature audiences, and children under the age of 5 will not be admitted.
