Matt Lews as Elvis Presley
Matt Lewis brings Elvis Presley back to the Hendricks Hall stage on April 18 as the season finale of the 2013-2014 Performing Art Series

Lewis, a UCM alumnus, and his band pay tribute to the American music legend with an amazing performance that brings to life the magic of Elvis Presley's stage presence. Their appearance wraps up a year-long celebration of Elvis Presley at UCM, sponsored by the Center for Religious Studies.

A native of Lee’s Summit, Mo., Matt Lewis began impersonating Elvis Presley as a teenager and continued throughout his college career. He made the decision shortly before completing a degree in education to devote his time and efforts to a career in entertainment, doing something he loved.

Lewis has toured the world and entertained audiences from Singapore, Germany, Australia, Poland, Canada, Japan and almost every major city in the United States. He currently headlines in the “Legends in Concert” show at the Imperial Palace on the Las Vegas strip. Numerous publications have praised and spotlighted his talents, from the front page of Las Vegas’ “What's On,” to the national magazine “Entertainment Weekly.” Most recently, Lewis was named the “best Elvis in Las Vegas” by “USA Today.”
