WARRENSBURG, MO (July 23, 2012) – Tops in Blue, a musical group that performs around the globe as ambassadors for the United States Air Force, will entertain a local audience when it takes the stage at 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 9, in the University of Central Missouri Multipurpose Building. Admission is free and everyone is welcome to attend this event that will appeal to individuals of all ages.

Representatives of Whiteman Air Force Base are working with UCM to make this program possible. An all active-duty U.S. Air Force special unit that was founded 59 years ago, Tops in Blue has performed previously at the university and in nearby communities such as Sedalia. The group consists of about 35-40 vocalists, musicians, dancers, and technicians who are specially selected for their talents and skills, and who train at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland Air Force Base, Texas.
