AlcoholEdu for College

 

In this program, you will learn to successfully navigate the college environment, whether or not you choose to drink. When you complete the online program AlcoholEdu for College, you are helping promote a safe and healthy learning environment at UCM.

All first year students 23 years old and under must complete AlcoholEdu for College at the beginning of their college career. It will take approximately one hour to complete.

This course is provided through a company called Everfi, so emails you receive will come from "University of Central Missouri <automated-message@everfi.net>".

Start Dates and Due Dates

If you're starting at UCM in Fall or Summer of 2020

  • July/August 2020: Program is available to complete.
  • August 20: Part 1 of the program must be complete.
  • 45 days after Part 1 is complete: Complete Part 2. You will get an email invitation at your UCM student email address.

You must complete Part 1 before enrolling for Spring 2021 classes.

 

If you're starting at UCM in Spring 2021:

  • January 1: Program is available to complete.
  • January 30: Part 1 of the program must be complete
  • 45 days after you complete Part 1: Log in to MyCentral to complete Part 2. You will get an email reminder at your UCM email address.

You must complete Part 1 before enrolling for Summer 2021 or Fall 2021 classes.

Accessing the Course

Please note:  you cannot login to AlcoholEdu for College until you are enrolled in courses at UCM.

If you're starting at UCM in Fall or Summer of 2020

  • Watch for an email from "University of Central Missouri <automated-message@everfi.net>" in your UCM student account.
  • Follow the instructions in the email to log in and complete the program

If you're starting at UCM in Spring 2021:

  • Instructions will be provided later in the Fall 2020 semester.

You may log in and out of AlcoholEdu for College at the end of each section. Section ends are marked with a “Next” button.

IMPORTANT: DO NOT log out until you click the “Next” button or you will have to repeat the section you have just gone through.

To log back into your account, go to the link in MyCentral.

 

Basic computer requirements:

  • A computer with internet access and audio capabilities.
  • If you don't have access to a computer at home, you may use a campus computer, or one at your local library.

Technical Assistance

Trouble logging in

If you are unable to log into MyCentral, or if you do not know your 700 number or password, contact the UCM Technology Support Center at tsc@ucmo.edu or 660-543-4357.

Trouble after you’ve logged in

If you've begun taking AlcoholEdu for College and receive error messages or have trouble progressing through the course, contact Everfi (the company that provides this training) using one of these options:

  1. Click the Tools option in the top right corner of the course, then select Help; this will take you to Everfi's 24/7 technical support website.
  2. Call 866-384-9062 to talk to a live person from Everfi, 6 AM to 7 PM Monday-Friday.
