                              electives and join UCM’s student-operated agency to hone your skills and gain real-world

- Applied skills in entertainment PR: Further develop your writing, reading and critical-thinking skills as they pertain
                              to specific public relations topics and strategies. Our applied skills classes in
                              global sports, crisis communications and entertainment will help you develop practical
                              skills through real-world learning scenarios. Work on site with public relations specialists
                              and vice presidents of marketing at communications firms and entertainment venues. 
- Applied skills in global sports: Learn the tools of the PR trade in the world of sports. An applied skills course in
                              this area gives you the opportunity to interact with the head of marketing for a professional
                              sports team in Missouri. Depending on your interests, we can help you secure a for-credit
                              applied skills course where you’ll work alongside professionals in your dream job.
- Professional development: Join the UCM chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) to network
                              and gain insight into the field with peer events and regional conferences.
