Academie Lafayette is a foreign language school. Through a complete immersion program, the school fosters students' language skills to achieve fluency in French and English by the end of their eighth grade year.

Benjamin Banneker Charter Academy of Technology provides a student-centered program for high-risk students. Its academic emphasis is on student-centered learning processes through the use of technology.

Benjamin Banneker Closure

The contract between the University of Central Missouri and Benjamin Banneker Charter Academy of Technology will end on June 30, 2018. The Banneker Board and administration are searching for a new sponsor for the 2018-2019 school year. If a new sponsor is not identified by June 30, 2018, the school will close. Crossroads Charter Schools prepares students to excel in high school by providing an academically rigorous K-8 education. The school's vision is to be the premier school serving Kansas City's youth and a destination for educators seeking inspiration and best practices.

Guadalupe Centers Schools focus on dropout recovery and prevention for high-risk Hispanic and other inner-city youth. Alta Vista is supported by the Guadalupe Centers, Inc., a community service organization serving the Hispanic population of Kansas City since 1919.

Hogan Preparatory Academy has a long history of service to inner-city students of Kansas City as a parochial private preparatory high school. Its mission is to provide individual attention, community service opportunities and preparation for higher education.

 

Hope Leadership Academy envisions a vibrant, close-knit, neighborhood-based school where all students attain their highest goals. By creating a caring and supportive environment with high expectations, Hope Leadership Academy empowers students to become enthusiastic learners and respectful citizens.

Kansas City International Academy provides a student-centered program for high-risk students based on a sound educational program, community involvement and comprehensive social services. KCIA's focus is creating a world class school with an international focus. Many of KCIA's students are members of families who have immigrated to Kansas City from over 15 different countries.

Scuola Vita Nuova aims to provide children an opportunity to experience the wealth of the northeast community's vast cultural resources in a supportive educational environment.
