Dr. Sanghak Sung

Research Areas: Penetration Testing, Malware Analysis and Web Application Security

Dr. Sanghak Sung joined the Department of Computer Science and Cybersecurity as an Assistant Instructor in Fall 2022. He received his Ph.D. in Robotics (Mechanical Engineering) from POSTECH (Pohang University of Science and Technology) in S. Korea and has been working on many projects integrating computer science, mechanical engineering, and electrical engineering areas of expertise.

He led a humanoid project when he worked for a robotics company in S. Korea and developed a human-sized humanoid by working with experts from various engineering fields. After moving to Kansas City, he worked on computer science projects and taught at UMKC focusing more on network and cybersecurity as a systems engineer who wants to integrate and protect systems.
