School Chair and Safety Professor

Blunt holds an M.S. in Industrial Safety Management from UCM and an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership from the University of Missouri. She is a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) and has been a safety sciences faculty member at UCM since 1999. Blunt is a Professional Member of the American Society of Safety Professionals (ASSP).

The American Society of Safety Professionals (ASSP), an organization that represents 40,000 members across the globe, has named Leigh Ann Blunt ASSP's 2020 William E. Tarrants Outstanding Safety Educator.
