Dr. Reza earned his PhD and MS in Computer Science from the Center for Advanced Computer Studies (CACS) department at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in Dec 2017 and May 2014, respectively. Prior to joining UCM, he was a Postdoctoral Associate in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. Prior to that, he was a Postdoctoral Scientist in the High Performance Computing Architectures and Technologies Laboratory (HPCAT) at the George Washington University. His research interests include high performance computing, multi/many-core architectures, systems-on-chip, interconnection networks, and resource allocation. His current research focuses on machine learning and approximate computing techniques for high-performance and energy-efficient interconnection networks for large-scale systems. He has published peer reviewed conference and journal papers, such as ACM GLSVLSI, IEEE ICCD, IEEE SOCC, IEEE ISCAS and Elsevier CAEE. He has been invited by several ACM/IEEE conferences to publish and present his research works. He was awarded the title of A. Richard Newton Young Fellow from the ACM/IEEE Design Automation Conference (DAC) in 2014. He attained his Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the Bangladesh University of Engineering & Technology (BUET) in 2005. Prior to starting his PhD, he had worked as a Lead Engineer for GrameenPhone Ltd. [Telenor Group], one of the largest mobile operators in Bangladesh, from 2005 to 2012. During his time in the GrameenPhone Ltd., he also earned his MBA (Executive Program) degree from Institute of Business Administration (IBA) at the University of Dhaka in 2011. He worked as a Quantitative Software Developer for ACI Limited, one of the largest Bangladeshi conglomerates, after his graduation in 2005.
