Dr. Sayema Khan Tuli joined the School of Natural Sciences at the University of Central Missouri in 2018 as an instructor in Chemistry. Dr. Tuli came to the United States in 2012 and started her studies as a graduate student at the University of Memphis, Tennessee. She completed her master's degree in chemistry in 2015 and then continued at the same university, receiving her doctoral degree in chemistry in 2017.
Her research interests are organic synthesis, smart polymers, polymer electrolytes, and development of fuel cells as a renewable and alternative energy source. She has authored several peer-reviewed journal papers and also has presented her papers at several regional and international conferences including the Southeastern Regional Meeting of the American Chemical Society (SERMACS), TN-SCORE Annual Conference, and the International Chemical Congress of Pacific Basin Societies (PacifiChem).
She teaches several introductory chemistry and biochemistry courses and laboratories for the Chemistry program at UCM.
