Parents of Freshmen

for Parents

Living on campus is a wonderful experience for college students, however the transition can be stressful. Held prior to the beginning of fall semesters, the UCM Experience kickoff is a program designed to ease the transition to college for freshmen students. All freshmen living on campus are eligible to participate - including those in band or on an athletic team.

Topics for the kickoff include:

  • Responsible and Active Learning
  • Money Management (financial aid and scholarships)
  • TechCheck (technology for students)
  • Academic Support Services
  • Engaged Learning/Community Involvement
  • Career Development (faculty involvement and advising)
  • Healthy Living

By registering you student(s) for the UCm Experience they are agreeing to participate in ALL activities associated with the Kickoff Weekend.

Current Immunizations are required for the kickoff event. These are the same immunizations required for enrollment as a UCM student.
