Document submission deadline - 15 days after the application deadline.

Financial support deadline - 1 month after the application deadline.

What is my student type?

New F-1: I would like to study in person at UCM - I need an I-20. (Also, if you are deferring your admission start date, select this option.)

New F-1 (MS Computer Science, Computer Information Systems & IT, and Big Data Analytics): Major specific deadline - I would like to study in person at UCM - I need an I-20. (Also, if you are deferring your admission start date, select this option.)

Transfer F-1: I would like to study in person at UCM - I am studying at another US school and need to transfer. (Also, if you are a UCM student currently enrolled in classes, select the option.)

Other visa type: I would like to study in person at UCM - I already have another visa type other than F1 or B2. - I do not require an I-20 or F-1 student visa.

Online-only: I would like to study online from outside of the U.S. - I do not require an I-20 or F-1 student visa.

 

Summer Program

Only the following programs are available to start in the summer semester.

Online-only Refer to the admission application for available online programs.

 

International Students:

Students without proof of US Citizenship or US permanent residency (Green Card) must apply for admission at UCM as an international student.

International Admission Requirements

If you are not a United States citizen or permanent resident of the U.S., you are considered an international student at UCM.

International admissions requirements vary depending upon your student type and whether you are pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree. However, all international students will be required to:

  • Complete the International Student Application
  • Pay the non-refundable $75 application fee*
  • Prove English proficiency*
  • Provide financial support letter
  • Provide a bank statement with adequate funds
  • Official Transcripts *
  • Photocopy of passport

* may not apply to all student types

Country Specific Requirements

Bangladesh

  • Graduate Applicants:
    • UCM does not accept 3-year Bachelor's degrees for admission to Master's programs.

China

  • Transcripts from any secondary or post-secondary institution attended, in Chinese and English.
  • Applicants may send electronic CSSD/CHESICC verification reports of 1) their secondary or postsecondary transcripts and 2) degree certificate(s). The CSSD/CHESICC reports may be sent directly to the University of Central Missouri electronically via Parchment through the CSSD/CHESICC website

Ghana

  • Higher National Diploma is not equivalent to a Bachelor's degree at UCM.

India

  • Graduate Applicants:
    • Beginning with the Spring 2024 intake, UCM is no longer accepting 3-year Bachelor's degrees for admission to Master's programs.
    • Please provide all individual marksheets and either a provisional certificate or an original degree. If you are in your last semester or year, we must have marksheets through at least your 6th semester (or 7th if available).
    • Transcripts are required from any college or university you have attended or are now attending - even if you do not want transfer credit.
  • Undergraduate Applicants:
    • Class 12 or Standard XII Board Examination Results as issued by the Examination Board.
    • Transcripts are required from any college or university you have attended or are now attending - even if you do not want transfer credit.

Kenya

  • Graduate Applicants:
    • The Higher Diploma is not equivalent to a Bachelor's degree at UCM.
    • Transcripts are required from any college or university you have attended or are now attending - even if you do not want transfer credit.
  • Undergraduate Applicants:
    • Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE).
    • Transcripts are required from any college or university you have attended or are now attending - even if you do not want transfer credit.

Nepal

  • Graduate Applicants:
    • UCM does not accept 3-year Bachelor's degrees for admission to Master's programs.

Nigeria

  • Graduate Applicants:
    • Neither the Higher National Diploma nor the Higher Diploma are equivalent to a bachelor's degree at UCM.
    • Transcripts are required from any college or university you have attended or are now attending - even if you do not want transfer credit.
    • The Bachelor of Pharmacy represents attainment of a level of education comparable to a first professional degree in the United States. First professional degrees are not equivalent to a bachelors degree at UCM.
  • Undergraduate Applicants:
    • Photocopy of SSCE results (WAEC or NECO)
    • Transcripts from all colleges or universities you have attended or are now attending - even if you do not want transfer credit.

International Student Services Appeals

Disputed Fee Payment and Test Score Cancellation

Prospective University of Central Missouri (UCM) graduate students denied admission due to disputed fee payment or test score cancellation may petition to reinstate UCM admission, or to reinstate the opportunity to apply for admission at UCM. 

In the event of an appeal approval for disputed fee payments, the prospective student must successfully repay the application fee.

In the event of an appeal approval for test score cancellation, the prospective student must successfully submit an updated test score, or be eligible for a test score waiver under existing waiver policies at UCM. 

In addition to submitting the below appeals form, the request must include:

  • explanation/justification for this appeal
  • documentation of the circumstances surrounding the incident, if applicable
  • detailed plan of how you will successfully meet UCM admission requirements in relation to fee payment and/or test score submission moving forward
