Residential Energy Performance Administrator (REPA)

This program prepares participants to become Residential Energy Performance Administrators (REPA) in the residential energy retrofit industry sector. A REPA is in charge of aggregating, dispersing, and cataloging data during the design phase of the Energy Improvement Design-Build Process to facilitate the accurate, timely, and professional completion of all design tasks resulting in contracts to retrofit the client’s home to be more energy efficient and comfortable. The REPA will also clearly and precisely inform stakeholders (e.g. RECSC, auditors, raters, funding partners, etc.) of project results and status. This program is recommended for individuals from the construction industry or housing professionals interested in working in an office environment and possess the ability to:

Program Prerequisites and Qualifications:

  • Apply a systematic approach to carry out tasks
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with others
  • Demonstrate effective communication skills
  • Maintain and adjust timelines and work schedule
  • Express complex ideas concisely and clearly, orally and in writing
  • Calculate rate, ratio and percent; ability to convert units of measurement
  • Develop written reports and action plans
  • Use personal computers and related software
  • Work at a computer for long periods of time

NOTE: Individuals who enjoy the design aspects the traditional auditor role are ideal candidates to fulfill the responsibilities of the REPA role.
