WARRENSBURG, MO (Aug. 31, 2015) – The Performing Arts Series at the University of Central Missouri kicks off a full season of cultural experiences for the campus and community with the opening of the online Central Tickets box office Sept. 1.

The 2015-16 season celebrates the creative human spirit with the theme “Passion, Compassion,” offering performances of music, dance, theatre and the visual and multi-media arts. Season tickets, as well as tickets for individual performances, will be available for the three series of performances that make up the Performing Arts Series. The Premier Series showcases the best of the performing arts in the College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences, while the Fanfare Series will feature the UCM Department of Music faculty and students.

The Guest Artist Series will bring world-class performances by nationally and internationally renowned artists to UCM, including the return of the popular Lake Cottage Duo. Many of these guest artists also will participate in campus residencies consisting of masterclasses, workshops, lectures and question and answer sessions with students and the public, culminating in a fantastic concert experience.

Special events scheduled to round out the PAS experience include the annual Valentine and Dinner Dance, the MLK Gospel Concert, and the UCM Film Festival. The highlight of the season will be the annual President’s Gala, which will return in March 2016 to Helzberg Hall in the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts in Kansas City.

For the full schedule of performances, visit the Performing Arts Series web site at ucmpas.com
