                                             WARRENSBURG, MO – As part of a High Impact Learning Grant from the University of Central
                                                Missouri College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences, The Department of Theatre
                                                and Dance will host the return of the Upright Citizens Brigade Improv Comedy Touring
                                                Troupe to the Nickerson Black Box Theatre for 90-minute show Saturday, March 5.
                                             
                                             Doors will open at 7 p.m. for the 7:30 p.m. performance, which is free and open to
                                                the public. Seating is limited, so early arrival in encouraged.
                                             
                                             The UCM Department of Theatre and Dance improv troupe, Shenanigans, will open for
                                                the Upright Citizens Brigade after participating in a workshop with the group from
                                                4-6 p.m. Saturday afternoon.
                                             
                                             The Upright Citizens Brigade Touring Company brings improv comedians from the legendary
                                                Upright Citizens Brigade Theatres in New York and Los Angeles to audiences around
                                                the country. Founded by Amy Poehler, Matt Besser, Ian Roberts, and Matt Walsh, the
                                                UCB has been home to some of the biggest stars in comedy today appearing in television
                                                shows like Broad City, Saturday Night Live, Silicon Valley, Veep, and Unbreakable
                                                Kimmy Schmidt, and like Bridesmaids, The Hangover, and The Heat, not to mention the
                                                writing staff of Key and Peele, the Daily Show with Jon Stewart, Inside Amy Schumer,
                                                and many more.
