Human Subject Review

Federal law requires that all research involving human or animal subjects must be approved by the Human Subjects Review Committee or the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee prior to beginning research.  Regulatory requirements prescribe the qualifications and numbers of members of the Human Subjects Review Committee and the Animal Care and Use Committees. The compliance coordinator works with the Faculty Senate and the UCM President to ensure these regulations are met. Guidelines and application information for these reviews are available through the Office of Sponsored Programs and Research Integrity.
