Only tests taken within the past 10 years are eligible for special credit review. For credit to be considered, the student must request an official score report be sent directly from the testing company. Students eligible to receive course credit by examination must be actively attending classes at UCM and are responsible for notifying Testing Services by submitting the Course Credit Request Form. Please do not enroll in a course in which you anticipate receiving credit.
Course evaluations provide an essential role in UCM’s commitment to excellence in education. UCM collects student feedback each semester about courses and instructors through an online course evaluation system. The results are provided to instructors, department chairs and college deans to help improve instruction. Course evaluation results help faculty gain a better understanding of how well they are meeting the learning needs of their students. Feedback helps them to develop, modify and improve courses. Course evaluation results are also used by supervisors during performance reviews to evaluate instructors’ effectiveness and help determine annual promotion, tenure and class assignment decisions.
Every UCM course with an enrollment of five or more students is included in the basic institutional online course evaluation of five questions, as required by Senate Bill 389. Evaluations also contain questions specific to the four colleges. Beginning summer 2018, UCM uses the TK20 assessment method for conducting these online course evaluations, which are processed by Testing Services. The course evaluations are completely anonymous and students are strongly encouraged to participate in the course evaluation process in order to help improve instruction.
