Resources for Recently Admitted Transfer Students
Enrollment processes vary based on where students plan to take classes. We are currently inviting spring 2017 admitted students to set up enrollment appointments; new transfer students for summer/fall 2017 can begin setting up enrollment appointments in March 2017. Once Detailed enrollment and orientation information is mailed to students within five business days of admission. Students can get a head start with the following instructions:
- Warrensburg students set up enrollment online through the Campus Visit Office. Make sure to set your appointment as close to your enrollment access date as possible, but not before.
- RN-BSN students call 660-543-8736.
- Students enrolling in an online completion program (not RN-BSN) should reach out directly to their academic advising office. Go to ucmo.edu/advising and select your major for advising office contact information.
- UCM Lee's Summit students who plan to major in Child and Family Development or Psychology call 660-543-8252 to set up enrollment. UCM Lee's Summit students majoring in General Studies should call 660-543-8480. All other UCM Lee's Summit students contact the Harmon College of business and Professional Studies Advising at 660-543-8577.
Complete the Virtual Orientation Program (VOP) before Enrolling
The VOP is available via MyCentral in the "UCM Home" tab. Access it by looking under the "Online Orientation" channel. A score of 7/10 is required to enroll in classes. RN-BSN students are exempt from the VOP requirement.
Within three business days of admission, transfer credits are posted to new transfer students' records. Credit transfer is a process shared by UCM and students. Students are invited to view their degree audits upon admission and begin making notes of fallthrough courses that may be applicable toward general education or major requirements. Don't be alarmed if you see many courses showing in fallthrough that you believe should be applying toward major, minor, and/or general education requirements. In these instances, it's very common that the courses simply have not been evaluated yet. Fallthrough courses are those which have not been reviewed for equivalency yet, but may be considered applicable upon review. View your Central Degree Audit in the "Student Services" tab of MyCentral. Make note of questions regarding credit applicability for when you meet with your advisor. Credits with an "ELCT" course prefix can be submitted for possible equivalency using the Credit Evaluation Form.
On campus orientation invitations are sent in November (spring students) and April (summer/fall students).
