As a UCM online student you belong to the area consortium, Kansas City's Regional Access Consortium for Higher Education. KC REACHE links area college and university resources, providing tailored student services for distance students. Reciprocal agreements exist for library and testing services through the KC REACHE program.
James C. Kirkpatrick Library
As a distance learning student, the JCKL website provides educational resources, borrowing procedures, databases, interlibrary loans, tutorials for library services and more. Office of Military and Veterans Services
UCM's Office of Military and Veterans Services is committed to serving military students by addressing concerns and issues within education, healthcare and job placement. Located in Elliott Union 117, the office serves as a gathering place for active-duty and military veteran students. It's equipped with computers, study space and a meeting/lounge area for your convenience. Also located in this facility are the offices of its director, coordinator, Veterans Affairs certifying official and veteran center counselor.
MyCentral is where you will enroll, add or drop courses, access grades, pay your bill, order textbooks, as well as access Blackboard, the student email system, and other valuable resources.
You may request an identification card without a photo by emailing the Extended Studies office.
You can order your books directly from the University Store by going through your MyCentral account (please note that you will incur shipping charges). Once at our MyCentral page, choose the Student Services tab under UCM registration. Select your term and then select your textbooks.
Student Success Center
The Student Success Center offers FREE tutoring and help with over 35 courses for students on-campus and online. Please check the tutoring schedule available on their website. The Success Center can also provide individualized help with note-taking, test preparation, and time management.
