Posted: 3/29/2013 - The last day for students to drop a full semester course is Monday, April 1st.
Students are encouraged to process all drops by 4pm (in case assistance is needed), as UCM offices close at 5pm. Students with holds on their accounts are unable to drop classes in MyCentral and will need assistance from their academic advisor, department, or the Registrar’s Office.
If you do drop, you will receive a “W” on your record. This simply indicates a withdrawal after the first week and does not have any impact on your GPA. Students are not allowed to drop full semester classes after this date.
If a course drop will bring you below full time status (12 credit hours), make sure you know the consequences of such an action. Before you drop the class you should first check with your health/car insurance and any loans/scholarships. You may become ineligible to receive their benefits if you are a part time student. Student athletes and international students should also check with the appropriate offices before dropping below full time status.
