Steps in the Strategic Planning Process

The following information is the 2022/2023 UCM Strategic Plan Annual Implementation Process.

  July 1 Start of fiscal year. Fund allocation to all units in the institution. President and Vice Presidents
#1 July 1 Call for new activities to support the strategic plan and updates to existing
activities to be entered by the responsible unit in Nuventive. Approval
by chair, dean, assessment director, and strategic planning committee.

Deadline for new activity proposals and activity updates for current fiscal year
activities in Nuventive.
 
#1 Sept. 15 Strategic planning committee meets to review new proposals and updates to
activities. Dashboards are updated.

Call for updates on fall semester activities.

are updated. Reports are generated with executive summary for the President.

#3 May 25 Strategic planning committee meets to review updates to activities. Reports are
generated with executive summary for the President and Board of Governors.

  June Unit leaders use strategic plan dashboard to inform departmental annual report
and planning. President makes funding allocation decisions informed by strategic
plan results. Possible press release about accomplishments or planning decisions.
